A Chester County man is now facing federal charges after allegedly bringing firearms, ammunition, and explosives to a summer rally in West Chester.

Detectives determined that the brothers, a sister and her boyfriend arrived together at the Dorian Drive house. Upon arrival, an altercation ensued, resulting in the shooting of the sister’s boyfriend and the homicide of Corey Rhyanes.

The Chester County community is grappling with the aftermath of a deadly mass shooting that occurred during homecoming celebrations at Lincoln University.

Chester police said Thursday that the gunfire inside a house on Dorian Drive on Wednesday night was fatal to one man. Corey Rhyanes, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:44 p.m. inside a residence in the 500 block, according to Interim Police Commissioner Katrina Blackwell.

CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Delaware County are investigating a deadly double shooting at an apartment complex in Chester. It happened at the Willow Gardens apartments along Dorian Drive around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators taped off an apartment where it appears a window was shattered.

"We are hoping to transfer the inn and its business to people who want to continue with the vision to bring unique experiences to the River Valley," the owners said.
