LAS VEGAS — He missed 16 of 21 shots, including all five attempts from deep, and airballed his first and final shots. And those who saw his NBA 2K26 Summer League debut still came away with a consensus gut feeling: Cooper Flagg is right on pace to be a problem.

Cooper Flagg made his highly anticipated debut for the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday in the NBA 2K26 Summer League against the Los Angeles Lakers and Bronny James in Las Vegas.

Flagg's first points as a pro came on a slam dunk with less than five minutes to go in the first quarter. The Mavericks guard finished with 10 points, six rebounds and eight assists in his debut. He played 32 minutes, making 5 of 21 field goals, missing all five of his three-point attempts.
