Two people are dead after a head-on collision Tuesday with a wrong-way driver in Troy, police reported. Officials said the crash happened at about 8:41 a.m. on westbound West Long Lake Road at Northfield Parkway.

Hilton Bunce was driving a minivan west near the Baird Boulevard overpass around 9:30 a.m. when he rear-ended a truck stopped in the right lane, authorities said. Emergency workers removed the Camden resident from the minivan and brought him to a nearby hospital, where Bunce died of his injuries.

Police say two people were killed Tuesday morning in a head-on crash that appears to have been caused by a driver traveling the wrong way along westbound W Long Lake Road. According to the Troy Police Department officers were dispatched to the area around 8:41 a.

The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was pinned in the vehicle and ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash claimed the life of 32-year-old Brandon Taylor of Port Barre.

A 30-year-old man was driving a 2004 Ford Focus northbound on Willow Glen Drive when for reasons unknown the driver veered towards the left, crossed over the solid, double-yellow lines and crashed head-on into a 2013 Subaru Outback driven by a 25-year-old woman,
