The Ohio State Buckeyes have had a wealth of talent at the wide receiver position, and unfortunately, one could make the argument that they’ve had too much talent at times, making it difficult to get snaps to all the highly-touted prospects.

Ohio State wide receiver transfer Jayden Ballard has committed to Wisconsin, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Ballard is leaving the state of Ohio but will not have to go very far, still playing his college football in the Big Ten.

Wisconsin landed a commitment from former Ohio State transfer wide receiver Jayden Ballard on Wednesday. Ballard is the Badgers’ first transfer addition at the position and their 10th overall transfer commitment. He joins the program with one year of eligibility remaining.

Former Ohio State wide receiver Jayden Ballard is transferring to Wisconsin, where he will play for former Buckeye defensive lineman and assistant coach Luke Fickell.

He is the tenth player to commit to the program, joining Tulane defensive lineman Parker Petersen, Ball State tight end Tanner Koziol, Maryland quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., and Richmond defender Matthew Traynor. Prior to Ballard’s commitment, the program’s class ranked seventh in 247Sports’ team transfer portal class rankings.
