Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted is the leading candidate to replace Vice President-elect JD Vance in the US Senate, according to two Republican sources familiar with the deliberations.

With less than a month until President-elect Donald Trump and his Vice President, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, are inaugurated, the time is quickly coming for Vance’s replacement in the Senate to be announced.

Gov. Mike DeWine hasn't announced who he will appoint, but sources said the Senate seat is likely Lt. Gov. Jon Husted's if he wants it.
