Kochi: A bomb threat has been issued against a flight in Kochi as well. The threat targets a flight scheduled to depart for Bengaluru tonight. The threat was made via the social media platform X. Following the alert, passengers were subjected to security checks.

KOCHI: A bomb threat disrupted operations of a Kochi-Bangalore Alliance flight scheduled to depart at 5 pm on Saturday. In response, airport authorities isolated the aircraft for inspection and conducted thorough security screenings of passengers and luggage.

A bomb threat assessment (BTAC) was done at Cochin International Airport (CIAL) following a social media post aimed at a Kochi-Bengaluru Alliance flight on Saturday. CIAL said a bomb threat was received for Alliance flight 9I 506 COK-BLR.

Since the threat was specific to Kochi, a bomb threat assessment committee (BTAC) was convened here along with other airports at 2.30 PM, CIAL said in a statement.
