A Sylmar family escaped uninjured on Monday after the strong Santa Ana winds sent a massive tree crashing onto their home. Security camera video from Brian White's home captured the sound of the tree uprooting before landing on his house early Monday.

In Sylmar, a family was sound asleep when a large branch fell onto their roof, narrowly missing one family member as branches tore through the ceiling.

Santa Ana winds continued gusting across parts of the Southland Tuesday, while another bout of rain took aim at the region, setting the stage for a wet Rose Parade and prompting evacuation warnings for residents near recent burn zones.
