NFL, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings

Kevin O'Connell is undoubtedly one of the top coaches in the NFL, but he's not immune to criticism. Last Thursday night, the Minnesota Vikings suffered a 37-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. They didn't receive great quarterback play from Carson Wentz,
One of the players involved in the moves the Vikings made was 2025 NFL Draft pick, Kobe King. He was waived by the team after playing in just five games for the team, but was marred by special teams penalties during his tenure. In total, he had played 77 snaps on special teams and 3 snaps on defense for Minnesota.

Minnesota Vikings claim former Green Bay Packer on waivers
With the open roster spot that Wentz made available, the Vikings picked up former Green Bay Packers tight end Ben Sims off of waivers today. This is the second player plucked from Green Bay on Monday, following the Tennessee Titans taking rookie draft pick Micah Robinson off the Packers’ practice squad.
Wentz, who sported a large brace on his left shoulder, took five sacks and several more hits and was seen wincing throughout the night. Wentz, filling in for J.J. McCarthy (ankle), finished 15 for 27 for 144 yards. The Vikings managed just 34 rushing yards compared to the Chargers' 207. Minnesota has lost three of four.
Adrian Peterson has been arrested after allegedly driving while under the influence…TMZ has learned. According to online records, Peterson was arrested in Sugar Land, Texas around 10 AM local time Sunday. He was booked on one charge of DWI and one charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
The ultimate goal was building an infrastructure that made it so young quarterback J.J. McCarthy didn’t feel like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. It hasn’t gone according to plan as the Vikings currently sit in last place in the NFC North with a 3-4 record.
If the Vikings lose to the Lions on Sunday (they opened as 8.5-point road underdogs), those odds will drop further. And with the NFL's trade deadline coming up on Nov. 4, just two days after that game, the Vikings might be thinking about the possibility of being sellers.
