FedEx announced it had completed a pair of flights between the United States and China, transporting six giant pandas on the "FedEx Panda Express."

A pair of giant pandas arrived in Washington from China on Tuesday to move into their new home at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Their journey across the Pacific Ocean was well-planned. They were flown from Chengdu to Dulles airport in Virginia aboard a FedEx Boeing 777F cargo plane,

The National Zoo has released footage of the pandas, who are now settling into their new homes at the David M. Rubenstein Family Giant Panda Habitat. In the video, they are captured being transported,

Two giant pandas, a female named Qing Bao and a male named Bao Li, landed at Dulles International Airport on Tuesday and made their way to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., from Chengdu, China. This comes almost a year after the zoo bid farewell to its last giant pandas, Tian Tian, Mei Xiang and Xiao Qi Ji in November.

The three-year-old bears flew on the “Panda Express’; will be quarantined for 30 days before making their public debut in January 2025.
