The closing of the nation’s largest party supply store, reported by CNN on Friday, is expected to shutter more than 700 retail stores in North America by the end of February, including 10 stores in Minnesota.

There are 10 Party City stores remaining in Minnesota: in Apple Valley, Bloomington, Chanhassen, Coon Rapids, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Roseville, St. Cloud, St. Louis Park and Woodbury. Bring Me The News has learned that all of the Minnesota stores will remain open until the end of February.

CEO Barry Litwin told corporate employees the company is “winding down” operations and Friday was their last day of employment.
