Pueblo police say a 13-year-old girl who was reported kidnapped Oct. 16 was never actually missing. The man who reported it now faces a felony charge.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - An Amber Alert has been issued for a 13-year-old Colorado girl after officials say she was in a truck when it was stolen. Officials said Sandra Mendoza, 13, was missing Wednesday night out of Pueblo. Police reported at 6:44 p.m. that a truck she was in had been stolen, according to KKTV.

A 13-year-old girl is believed to have been kidnapped after an unknown male stole a car she was inside of. CBI has issued an Amber Alert.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued an Amber Alert for a missing girl. CBI said Sandra Mendoza, 13, was last seen in Pueblo at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday. She was in a vehicle when an unknown man stole it from the 1200 block of South Prairie Avenue with her still inside.
