The stars are out bright and early Thursday morning for the first round of the 2025 Players Championship. Featuring a full field of 144 players, the PGA Tour's flagship event has many of those big names playing alongside one another across the first two days at TPC Sawgrass. The PGA Players Championship is an annual event sponsored by the Professional Golfer's Association and in an invitation-only tournament featuring highest ranked players on the PGA Tour. The first place winner receives a purse of $4.5 million in the 2025 Players Championship, and the tournament has a total purse of $25 million.
