Possibly one of the biggest surprises of the year is none other than Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. Not only does it splinter from your standard template of what an action should be in this era of gaming, but it’s one not marketed as a live service game, even if it fits the bill (somewhat).

Space Marine 2 has only been out a couple of months, but already a sequel's on the cards - albeit not in the way you might immediately assume. Games Workshop has confirmed Warhammer 40K's appearance in Amazon's upcoming Secret Level series will take the form of an animated Space Marine 2 sequel.

Secret Level’s Warhammer 40,000 episode will feature Clive Standen, who reprises his role as Ultramarines lieutenant Titus from Space Marine 2, where he served as the main protagonist. Games Workshop also said that Secret Level is “a sequel to Space Marin 2,” following directly on from the events of the campaign.
