Wegmans to open first Pittsburgh-area store
The grocery store chain confirmed on Monday that it has plans to open a location in Cranberry on Cool Spring Drive, near the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Wegmans says the new store will sell a variety of food, including produce, bakery goods and deli products, and offer a large selection of wine and beer.

Wegmans expanding to another city with new store
Wegmans, based in Rochester, is a supermarket chain with 110 stores across eight states (New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Delaware) and Washington, D.C. The company recently expanded in New York City and plans to open three new stores in 2025 in Maryland, Connecticut and Long Island.
Wegmans buys land for first Charlotte store
Wegmans confirmed plans for its first Charlotte store in April, ending years of speculation about its arrival here. It took roughly five years to nail down the Ballantyne location. Wegmans’ search in the Charlotte market started when it opened its first store in Raleigh in 2019.
