Rain and thunderstorms on Saturday are prompting flooding threats for the Chicago area. A Flood Advisory was in effect until 12:15 p.m. for Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will counties in Illinois.

Despite a wet and muddy start that delayed Lollapalooza for hours, the festival ended on a much drier note while other parts of the Chicago area were left flooded Saturday.

Rain could fall at rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, with the greatest concern from about 10 or 11 p.m. through daybreak Monday, the National Weather Service said.
