CLEMSON, S.C. — Head Coach Dabo Swinney and Clemson Football announced today that Clemson has hired Tom Allen as Defensive Coordinator. The hire was finalized Tuesday by the Clemson University Board of Trustees Compensation Committee.

Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Allen is reportedly leaving the Nittany Lions program to coach at Clemson. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who says Allen will be Clemson’s new defensive coordinator.

Clemson Athletics and Dabo Swinney officially announced Tom Allen will be the new defensive Coordinator. Allen joins the Tigers following a short stint at Penn State.
