After Microsoft trending last week, it now clarifies that Windows' Control Panel is not going anywhere.

One of those is the venerable Control Panel; while earlier versions of Windows had a Control Panel, they weren't quite like the one that's made its way from Windows 95 all the way to Windows 11 today.

In future versions of Windows 10, Microsoft has removed the venerable 'Administrative Tools' and added a new 'Windows Tools' control panel with almost double the number of tools promoted within it.

Future versions of Windows 10 might remove the legacy Control Panel app in favor of the modern settings page. The change may come in the fall 2020 update.
