Max Verstappen will start tomorrow’s U.S. Grand Prix sprint race from pole position at Circuit of the Americas. The Red Bull driver bested McLaren’s Lando Norris by seven hundredths of a second, with Norris’ teammate and drivers’ championship rival Oscar Piastri rounding out the top three in Austin, Texas.

October in Austin is essentially a marathon of events, starting with back-to-back weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival and followed by the Formula 1 U. S.

Carlos Sainz beat Lewis Hamilton to an F1 podium finish in 2025 on a memorable day for Williams in Azerbaijan. After a terrific qualifying performance, Sainz lined up second on the grid alongside pole-sitter and eventual race winner Max Verstappen in Baku.
