Shubman Gill scored 112 in 102 balls as India thrashed England by 142 runs in their third one-day cricket international for a 3-0 series sweep

Shubman Gill produced a brilliant seventh ODI century, whilst Virat Kohli secured a vital fifty as India defeated England by 142 runs in the final match to achieve a 3-0 series sweep, perfectly concluding their Champions Trophy preparations on Wednesday.

Virat Kohli has returned from a knee injury as England won the toss and opted to bat against India in the second ODI at the Barabati Stadium.

Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel smashed half-centuries as India defeated England by four wickets in the opening one-day international on Thursday and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series that is a warmup for the Champions Trophy.

Virat also has an excellent record against England’s key bowlers for this series, averaging 36 against Adil Rashid in both ODIs (108/3) and T20Is (72/2) whilst the speedsters Mark Wood and Jofra Archer have combined to dismiss him just once for 157 runs conceded in either format.

Debutant Harshit Rana has grabbed three wickets and vice-captain Shubman Gill has hit 87 runs off 96 balls for India to beat England by four wickets in the first one-day international in Nagpur.

India claimed an unassailable 2-0 lead over England after captain Rohit Sharma's rapid hundred secured a four-wicket win in the second one-day international on Sunday.

Hundred from Shubman Gill and fifties from Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer help India post 356 all out in 50 overs. For England, Adil Rashid took 4/64.
