May 6, 1995: Spotter of '75 Tornado Says Omaha Was Lucky When a tornado started on its devastating, deadly path through Omaha 20 years ago today, the response was like clockwork. Warnings went out.
Unlike most tornado surveys done in person by the NWS, this tornado was confirmed with the help of satellite photos that showed the path of downed trees.
