CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia legislators and other leaders got a taste of what year two of the Morrisey administration could look like when the governor gave his State of the State address ...
West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey is set to give the 2026 State of the State address Wednesday night before both chambers of the West Virginia Legislature.
“Tonight, I have shared the progress, but our work is far from over,” the governor said.
WSAZ reviewed his first speech to the Legislature last February to see how those plans panned out in 2025 -- all as the governor is set to deliver his next address this Wednesday.
Gov. Morrisey called for investment in foster care, flooding, roads and more, but left unaddressed some key issues impacting West Virginians.
