James Gunn's Superman movie is still months away from its theatrical release, but the DC Studios boss already has a big update on his next DCU film.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the late Return of the Living Dead actors James Karen and Don Calfa will appear in Linnea Quigley’s meta-sequel, Trash’s Revenge, “with the magic of CGI.” In response to a fan on Threads (via Screen Rant ), James Gunn confirmed he’s now “pre-writing” his next DCU project after Superman and Peacemaker season two.

James Gunn says a new DC Elseworlds opening, which will be different than the introduction for DCU projects, is being developed.

For Superman, one of these baddies is Conduit, a villain who started with potential but fell out of the spotlight until a recent reappearance in Action Comics #1044. Created by long-time Superman talents Dan Jurgens and Louise Simonson,

James Gunn has offered an explanation as to how Peacemaker Season 1 and The Suicide Squad fit into the DCU's canon following the release of Creature Commandos. Creature Commandos is the first official project that is part of Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU.
