No. 23 Lady Vols beat Florida in first SEC matchup of the season
The No. 23 Tennessee Lady Vols found some momentum in the third quarter to wrap up their SEC opener with a 76-65 win over Florida. The Lady Vols started strong, eventually stringing together a 17-point lead with 7:43 left in the first half after Lauren Hurst hit a three-pointer from deep.
Lady Vols basketball proved it has resiliency and grit against Florida, and it took a step in the right direction in its SEC-opening win.
The Lady Vols, who improve to 9-3 overall and 1-0 in SEC play, will look to carry that momentum on the road when they play at Auburn Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. on the SEC Network.
