The top-ranked Crusaders escaped with a 1-0 win over the underdog Eagles Tuesday at Holland Christian, sending Unity Christian to its fourth consecutive state championship game.

The Unity Christian boys' basketball team clinched its first state tournament berth in nearly two decades by beating top-seeded West Lyon on Saturday in a Class 2A substate final contest.
