NFL, Netflix and Christmas
On Wednesday, Netflix streamed a pair of NFL games, for the first time ever. It was part of the league’s ongoing effort to steal Christmas from the NBA. It was successful, relative to the lack of complaints regarding buffering, outages, and blurred images.
The NFL will embark on a new Christmas Day tradition starting this year. Christmas Day games have been played in the past throughout the NFL, but only on special occasions. That changes Wednesday, as the league will play Christmas Day games in the middle of the week for the first time.
CM Punk and Liv Morgan made media rounds on Christmas. On January 6, WWE Raw will premiere on the Netflix streaming platform. Before the company makes that official move, though, former WWE Champion CM Punk and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan appeared on Netflix in another form.
