A heated exchange during a season-ending loss has fueled rumors about Vance Joseph’s future with the Denver Broncos.

If the Broncos end up losing Joseph to another club, Denver would receive a pair of third-round compensatory draft picks, and they likely have an in-house replacement ready for a promotion.

The Las Vegas Raiders have requested a head coach interview with Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph could return to the NFL head-coaching ranks. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday the New York Jets have requested permission to interview Joseph for their HC vacancy. It's uncertain as of this writing whether that permission was granted.

Joseph had a short playing career that included one season with the Jets. He appeared in 13 games at cornerback for the Jets in 1995 and had two interceptions. Joseph has been coaching in the NFL for 20 seasons and has head coaching experience.
