The Tennessee Titans are reportedly making a major staff change following their league-worst 3-14 finish to the 2024 NFL season. Per a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Titans will be bringing in veteran coach John Fassel as their next special teams coordinator.

The first of Dallas’ assistant coaches from last season is on the move, as John Fassel is headed to Nashville.

As the team continues its search for a head coach, multiple outlets reported Monday that John Fassel will become the next special teams coordinator for the Tennessee Titans. Fassel spent the past five seasons at the same position in Dallas, serving as the special teams coordinator for the entire tenure of former head coach Mike McCarthy.

Fassel was one of Mike McCarthy’s first hires in Dallas in 2020 and helped develop Brandon Aubrey and KaVontae Turpin into All-Pro talents.

The Titans have made a huge upgrade at special teams coordinator, according to multiple reports. Tennessee has hired former Dallas Cowboys special teams coordinator John “Bones” Fassel for the role, which was held last season by Colt Anderson.

The Tennessee Titans are moving on from special teams coordinator Colt Anderson and have hired John Fassel to replace him. There is an outside chance that Anderson is brought back in a lesser role. Fassel is an experienced NFL coach that had been a special teams coordinator since 2008.
