HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Seventeen people were displaced following a fire in a multi-family home Saturday evening. The fire department said three families were displaced. The American Red Cross is working to assist all 17 people, including 10 children.

The fire occurred at 138 Martin St. around 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Seven adults and 10 children were displaced, according to the Hartford Fire Department.

During the evening on Jan. 25, Hartford Firefighters said they responded to a fire at an occupied multi-family home on Martin Street. Crews said they quickly knocked the fire down, extinguished and placed it under control.
