INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFIE) - The Indiana high school football postseason is less than two weeks away. That means, Sunday night, was the highly-anticipated sectional draw!

The IHSAA football state tournament is just over the horizon. But first, two more weeks of the regular season. Here are statewide results from Week 8. Insider: Pat Mallory stayed to rebuild Lawrence North.

The Indiana High School Athletic Association released its sectional pairings on Sunday night. In 5A, both the Terre Haute South Braves and Terre Haute North Patriots will host the sectional semifinals on November 1st.

There are currently seven teams from the Evansville area ranked in the USA Today Network Indiana media poll. The following are the defending sectional champions locally: North (5A), Memorial (now in 3A), Gibson Southern (3A), Heritage Hills (3A) and North Posey (2A).

IHSAA football first round sectional games for Class 4A through Class A are set for Oct. 25, with 5A and 6A to begin the following week.
