Imran Khan, Pakistan's jailed former prime minister, has claimed that he was offered the option of going into exile abroad for three years, an offer he claims to have declined because he will “live and die” in his own country.

In conversation with media persons at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail where he is incarcerated since August 2023, Khan said he has been “indirectly approached” with an offer to transfer him to his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad.

Imran Khan revealed that while imprisoned in Attock Jail, he was offered a three-year exile which he refused, saying “I will live and die in Pakistan.”
