The plaintiffs and their lawyers allege that Costco “has systemically cheated customers out of tens – if not hundreds – of millions of dollars."

Customers have filed a nationwide class-action lawsuit accusing Costco of false advertising over its claim the chicken contains no preservatives.

According to the complaint, the chicken actually includes two ingredients the plaintiffs say qualify as preservatives: sodium phosphate and carrageenan.
