Victor Wembanyama broke a tie with a free throw with 2.4 seconds left and De'Aaron Fox scored 24 points in his first game for San Antonio, leading the Spurs to a 126-125 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.

The Spurs led by as many as 20 points in the second half before allowing the Hawks to come back, but a savvy intentional missed free throw in the final seconds by Victor Wembanyama was enough for the Spurs to eke out a narrow win.

The newly acquired point guard finished with 24 points, 13 assists and three steals to help the Spurs withstand a furious Hawks' comeback bid for a 126-125 win.
