The 20th anniversary of the July 7, 2005, attacks on London's transit system by Islamic extremists that killed 52 people and injured more than 700 was remembered with ceremonies and the laying of flowers across the city.

On 7 July 2005, four British Muslim suicide bombers blew themselves up in central London while on board three subway trains and a bus. They killed 52 people and themselves and injured around 700 people.
