Grammy- and Emmy-winning songwriter whose lyric-writing partnership with wife Marilyn lasted more than six decades, has died.

Oscar-winning lyricist Alan Bergman, who co-wrote songs including 'The Way We Were' and 'The Windmills of Your Mind' with wife Marilyn Bergman, has died. He was 99.

Lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman were among the most successful and prolific partnerships of their time. Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Tony Bennett and many others performed their material.
