Sirens sounded in central and southern Israel on Friday morning as the military said a missile launched from Yemen had crossed into Israeli territory.

Israel’s military said it intercepted a missile fired toward the country by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, setting off sirens late Monday in central areas including Tel Aviv. The Houthis have been firing drones and missiles at Israel,

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the strike in the Jaffa area and celebrated the Israel Defense Forces’ failed attempt to intercept the missile.
