The SUV was still in drive and investigators believe someone shot him as he drove through the parking lot, Arlington police said in a news release.

Police were called just after 11 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 2100 block of Wilcrest Drive, near East Pioneer Parkway. When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds slumped over inside an SUV, according to a news release.

The man was fired upon about 11 p.m. in the 2100 block of Wilcrest Drive, off Texas 303 near Sherry Street, Arlington police said. An officer found the man slumped inside a Ford Edge. The SUV was left in drive, pocked with bullet holes and appeared to have struck several parked vehicles.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 in the 2100 block of Wilcrest Drive.

Arlington police are hoping the public will come forward with information about a late-night fatal shooting in East Arlington. The shooting left a 27-year-old man dead.
