The Auburn Tigers are dangerously thin across their defensive front. Can they find help in the transfer portal?

With all the blunders last season in the Tigers kicking game, Auburn football gained a commit from Southern Miss kicker Connor Gibbs out of the transfer portal. Last season, Gibbs connected on 10 of 13 field goal attempts and drilled three from 50+ yards.

Former Auburn Tiger and Texas A&M Aggie Zach Calzada has entered the transfer portal for the third time in his career according to a report by On3’s Pete Nako s. After spending his first two seasons with the Aggies, Calzada transferred to Auburn in 2023, where he did not see the field.

Auburn Tigers defensive lineman Darron Reed announced via social media that he was entering the transfer portal. The departure leaves Auburn thin at the position, and they'll need to address in interior line this offseason. “I will be entering my name in the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left,” Reed said on Twitter/X.

Auburn football has signed former Texas A&M and Western Kentucky defensive lineman Dallas Walker IV out of the transfer portal. Walker, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound nose tackle, spent the past two seasons at WKU, finishing last year with 45 tackles, four tackles for loss and an interception. He began his career at Texas A&M in 2020.

The Auburn Tigers are having a lot of success in the transfer portal, and they've been predicted to land another big prize in Georgia Tech's Eric Singleton.
