Manchester United are competing with Newcastle in the race to sign German striker Benjamin Sesko. Sesko is United’s top target for the number nine role, and talks are ongoing over a move for the RB Leipzig forward.

The club is reportedly pushing hard to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko before the September 1 deadline, and they’re doing it without needing a fire sale of unwanted players. On paper, it looked like United were tight on funds after already spending big on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Newcastle have given Benjamin Sesko a deadline to make his decision and Manchester United will not be making a bid in the meantime.
