The sports of stockcar racing and women’s basketball are crossing paths again this weekend in Daytona at the Coke Zero Sugar 400, where LSU superstar guard Flau’Jae Johnson will wave the green flag as the race’s honorary starter.
Daytona Beach city commissioners are set to vote on a ban on public camping, as leaders work to comply with Florida’s new anti-camping law that largely prohibits people from sleeping outside.
The Cup Series' 36 full-time drivers will, of course, start the Daytona race. But four open entries will also join the fun: Austin Hill for Richard Childress Racing, Joey Gase for NY Racing Team, Casey Mears for Garage 66 and B.J. McLeod for Live Fast Motorsports.
