Per reporting from Tony Paul in The Detroit News, Bally Sports Detroit—which broadcasts Detroit Red Wings games, in addition to the Tigers and Pistons—is in for an imminent re-brand to the FanDuel Sports Network.

As the NHL and the NBA seasons get underway, according to CNBC Sports, Bally Sports’ parent company Diamond Sports Group, which broadcasts your Detroit Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings, is set to sell the naming rights to FanDuel Sports Network in a new deal.

Bankrupt sports broadcaster Diamond Sports Group is seeking court permission to re-brand its network of Bally Sports local channels to FanDuel under a naming rights deal with the betting giant.

This is a proposed naming-rights deal, which means very little is going to change from the customers' point of view.

Diamond — the parent company of Blues regional telecaster Bally Sports Midwest — has been in bankruptcy proceedings since March 2023, a result of dwindling cable viewership over the years.
