First Aid Beauty has announced the recall of 2,756 jars of its Ultra Repair Cream in the coconut vanilla scent following an issue identified by the brand.

First Aid Beauty recalled more than 2,000 jars of a “specific variant” of a moisturizing cream and said no other versions were affected.

The beauty community was on high alert Thursday following a report from Newsweek that skin care brand First Aid Beauty issued a recall of its popular Ultra Repair Cream.

Last month, nearly 3,000 jars of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream were recalled nationwide because a batch "intended for quarantine" was accidentally sold, the FDA said.

Users of First Aid Beauty, a skin care company based out of Massachusetts, learned of the voluntary recall in December when the company realized it had sent out more than 2,700 containers of the 4-ounce Ultra Repair Cream Coconut Vanilla.

"This product was not intended for market sale," First Aid Beauty noted in a statement on its website. The FDA added the recall was due to a "Current Good Manufacturing Practice deviation," which doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with the product.

The company is recalling 2,756 jars of the cream that were sold exclusively on its website because “the product was not intended for market sale,” a release stated.
