With a new Earth-based mythology to build, and a 40-year history to maintain, Alien: Earth has immediately taken over the top spot on Hulu/Disney+ in more than 70 countries and become one of the streamer’s biggest ever original series.

While the far more conventional legacy sequel Alien: Romulus was the studio’s first at-bat with the franchise, Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth sees the now Disney-owned property coming to television in prestigious, bold, and daring fashion.

Alien: Earth is the best new sci-fi show on TV right now, and fans of the series may have found their Andor equivalent.

When we sat down with Alien: Earth creator and showrunner Noah Hawley, he got the memo about the one-word answer. Not only that, but the Fargo creator also expanded on that sentiment to give us a brilliant tease for what’s to come in the remaining six episodes:

Earth” reached 9.2 million views worldwide through its first six days of streaming. That total, calculated by dividing the total amount of time streamed by the runtime of the episode, refers to viewership on Hulu and Disney+ alone;
