The McGrath family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Valle, as well as other former St. Joseph High School students who were with him that night — Tyler DaSilva, Jack Snyder, William Singewald, Keenan Fraczek and Dimitrios Arfanisand — as well as their parents.

The jury in the Raul Valle murder trial has returned with a verdict in the death of Fairfield Prep's James McGrath and the assaults of three others.

Valle, then 16, fatally stabbed 17-year-old James McGrath, 17, outside a house party in Shelton, but the jury found he acted in self-defense.
