The U.S. has won a trade dispute panel resolution on Mexico’s bid to ban genetically modified corn for human consumption.

A trade-dispute panel ruled on Friday that Mexico's restrictions on U.S. genetically modified corn exports violate the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, handing the Biden administration a major trade victory in its final weeks.

The US has prevailed in its dispute with Mexico over genetically modified corn that threatened shipments to America’s top customer of the grain.

Greg Abbott said the state is launching a "tough medicine" messaging campaign warning migrants against the dangers of illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. The state is paying to erect billboards across Central America and in border cities across northern Mexico to discourage migrants from crossing into Texas.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced the new strategy, which will cost an estimated $100,000, during a press conference in Eagle Pass.
