Recovery is underway Tuesday across the Triangle after Tropical Depression Chantal dumped heavy rain causing major flooding and road closures. There were at least three storm-related deaths confirmed.

This comes after a state of emergency was declared in Alamance County due to significant flooding and dangerous travel.

In Alamance County, responders spent more than 14 hours performing water rescues after floodwaters swept through the area.
