Wake Forest will start transfer Robby Ashford at quarterback in Jake Dickert's coaching debut against Kennesaw State on Friday.

Former Auburn quarterback Robby Ashford will play for his fourth college team, Wake Forest, after stints at Oregon, Auburn, and South Carolina. Ashford saw limited action at South Carolina in 2024, primarily playing behind LaNorris Sellers.

The former Auburn Tigers quarterback, who spent two seasons with the program from 2022-23, was named the starting quarterback for Wake Forest on Sunday, according to multiple reports. Ashford enters his sixth season of college football and with his fourth program after stints at Oregon, Auburn and South Carolina.
