Fields likely doesn’t trust the Pittsburgh Steelers to do the right thing—and even if he did, why on earth would he sacrifice the opportunity to make more money elsewhere by signing a contract extension with a team that has been more dishonest and disloyal than his previous home, the Bears?

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields is set to hit the free agency market, according to Dianna Russini of the Athletic. Fields, who the Steelers have continued having an open dialogue with throughout the process, has interest from multiple teams outside of the Steelers.

The Steelers have been talking to both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson for weeks, but no signing has taken place. It can naturally be assumed complications have interfered with the team’s rumored plan to retain Fields.
