It’s been a tough day at NBC, which needs to make space on the schedule for basketball coverage next season under NBCUniversal’s $2.5B a year deal with the NBA. Suits LA joins dramas The Irrational and Found and comedies Night Court and Lopez vs Lopez, which also just have been axed.

The show, led by Stephen Amell, is a spinoff of the original series Suits and follows Ted Black, a former New York City prosecutor-turned Los Angeles entertainment lawyer and his team of powerful associates as they take on new challenges.

NBC has cancelled Suits LA after just one season, following a lacklustre debut that failed to resonate with audiences. Despite Suits enjoying a resurgence on Netflix, the spin-off couldn't match its predecessor’s success.
