A terrifying text message sent students running for cover, barricading themselves in bathrooms and knocking over chairs in the frantic rush to hide from the active shooter reported on their university campuses.

Dylan Johnson, a student editor for Villanova Sports, posted a video on X at approximately 4:45 p.m. ET of a frantic scene that showed students and faculty near Austin Hall on Villanova's main campus after an alert was sent out for an active shooter.
