Here's 5️⃣ fun facts about mini manatees! 🩶 A baby manatee is called a calf. 🩶 Calves will nurse on the mothers mammary gland, located behind the mothers flippers (as seen in the video) 🩶 A calf will stay close to it's mother for an average of two to three years to learn travel routes and the location of food, rest areas and warm water refuges. 🩶 Females generally give birth to a single calf every two to five years, although twins are possible, but rare. 🩶 Manatee calve
